How I Lost 200 Pounds
In late 2005 I was diagnosed with diabetes. I was put on diabetes meds, high-cholesterol meds, and pills for high blood pressure. Overnight my life completely changed.
The years prior to this were filled with college, certification classes, entrepreneurship, self-delusion, and intentional neglect. I really “let myself go” and weighed over 365 pounds.
As I trudged through many appointments, meetings, and discussions with my healthcare providers, one thing became crystal clear. They were expecting me to MANAGE diabetes. But I wanted to OVERCOME it. So I began to search for an alternative solution.

A couple of months later on a somewhat obscure forum I read about a method bodybuilders used to get ready for a show. It not only helped them get lean but also increased insulin sensitivity. So it could, in theory, help regulate my blood sugar, and control diabetes. I decided to go all-in on this plan and see what would happen.
Implementing this new program required a LOT of focus and planning. I was watching WHAT I ate…WHEN I ate…HOW often I ate. I was logging my meals and counting macronutrients. The list of new skills required was pretty long for a guy used to eating whatever, whenever.
In order to make this work, I needed it to be simpler. I needed to do away with the meal prep, the measuring, the counting, and the constant logging. So, little by little, I modified the method to make it something I could follow. I streamlined it and made it easier to remember and execute. I turned it into something I could stick with.
After a year on my modified plan, I had lost 200 pounds. I was off all medication, and my blood sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol were all boringly normal. I was COMPLETELY different than I had been 12 months before. I had stumbled upon a secret, developed it into a program, and it changed my life.

I call this program the Rotation Principle. It’s not a diet as such but rather a guide. One that teaches you how your body works. Then shows you how to use that knowledge to lose weight. There are few requirements, little to remember, and it’s easy to follow. So easy I have followed it for over 16 years.
You Don’t Need A Better Diet
You don’t need a better diet or the discipline to diet better. You need a program you can live with. One that takes all the food worry away. The Rotation Principle won’t let you spend your days eating cupcakes and Lucky Charms, but it will let you live your life and still lose weight. Like any new skill it has a learning curve and will take dedication. But it is livable. I am living proof. It has worked and continues to work for me. I am convinced it will work for you too.
